Vintage Sumo Shirt - made from Asahiyutaka's Yukata fabric

This is a mens shirt - made from the yukata fabric for former Tatsunami rikishi Asahiyutaka (now Tatsunami oyakata). Made in the 1990s by someone at Tatsunami beya, they have been stored folded as new for over 25 years. 

Dark blue and white wave pattern with koi fish.

Shoulder width: 50cm across

Waist width: 60cm across

Length: 73cm (from base of collar)

These shirts were inside Asahiyutaka's Akeni from his fighting days - it doesn't get any more authentic than that!
