You have seen the large stacks of prize envelopes being awarded to the winners of Makuuchi bouts.
These are rare kensho envelopes from matches between Ozeki Kotooshu and Ama (future Yokozuna Harumafuji).
This item has been on the dohyo and handed to the winner. They fought 17 times over an 4 year period - with Kotooshu winning 9 times.
Kensho envelopes are exceedingly rare - they are given as gifts to high end supporters, family or connections of the heya.
