Hakuho v Kotoshogiku Kensho Envelope

You have seen the large stacks of prize envelopes being awarded to the winners of Makuuchi bouts.

This is a very rare kensho envelope from a match between Yokozuna Hakuho and Ozeki Kotoshogiku.

This item has been on the dohyo and handed to the winner. They fought 63 times over a 10 year period - with Hakuho dominating their bouts winning 59 of 63 times. 

Hakuho envelopes are exceedingly rare - they are given as gifts to high end supporters, family or connections of the heya.
