Rare double Yokozuna torikumi - Kitanoumi v Takanohana - scroll mounted

Makuuchi bout announcement sheet for a bout between legendary Yokozuna Kitanoumi & Takanohana.

This bout occurred before Takanohana was promoted to Yokozuna. The two fought 48 times between 1972 and 1980 - with Kitanoumi winning on 36 occasions.

The torikumi is handwritten by one of the official gyoji (referee), and has been announced on the dohyo by the chief gyoji.

The scroll measures 208cm long x 54cm wide.
