Rare 1950 / 1960 Sumo Sponsor Nobori

This is an oversized nobori measuring 1.5m wide x 5.4m long.  The width is the non standard part here team!!

The gunbai kanji is "sponsor".

The main kanji section is Saburo Yasui (安井 三郎) - a business supporter of sumo.

The lower section details the company funding the nobori - Shirakai Construction Company.

This nobori has great colour given its age (over 60 years). 

It was likely used for a regional tour event.
