Mitiozumi Retirement Pocket Watch - in original box (complete - as new)

Retirement ceremonies in the 1990s and early 2000s had awesome gifts.

Former Sekiwake Mitiozumi retired in 2000, and a commemorative gold pocket watch was one of the gifts at his intimate retirement ceremony.

He won a Makuuchi and Juryo yusho - and his tegata (stamped) is also available in store.

This watch has never left the box - and is as new with the plastic film on the glass, and instructions enclosed. A new battery has been professionally installed and it is in full working order.

Complete with heavy gold chain, the rear of the watch is engraved with his classic large salt throw (which earned him the nickname "the Salt Shaker").

He remains a current member of the shinpan department.
