The tegata in this package is extremely rare - it is from Aoiyama's first batch of tegata ever made, and was sent to member of the Taganoura heya supporters association in 2011. It is in the original paper envelope, and the letter to supporters commemorating his promotion to Juryo is also included. His shikona is rough - reflecting the challenges of a young European man learning to write his name in Kanji.
This tegata was extremely challenging to source and I have agonised over keeping for myself or making it available to someone who will treasure it more than me - do not miss the final chance you have to own an exceedingly rare piece of Aoiyama history.
