Authentic nobori for Yokozuna Chiyonofuji - 3rd on the all time Yusho list with 31 tournament wins.
The nobori includes the Yokozuna kanji above his shikona.
This is not a full sized nobori - it is 3.58 x 0.7m (141 x 27.6 inches) - essentially 2/3 the size of the nobori that hang outside a tournament. This means it is easier to display in a smaller space!
This nobori is likely from the heya, or a special event, given the slightly smaller size.
Museum, display or serious collector piece.
Images show fading, including where the previous owner removed the tabs for attaching the nobori to a pole (top and side). These can be easily replaced to hang vertically or horizontally.
